Career Specialties: Kathleen Ochshorn specializes in contemporary literature and fiction and travel writing.
Professional and Community Activities:
Ochshorn has published literary criticism, short fiction, book reviews, creative nonfiction, travel essays, and political and cultural commentary. Her scholarship includes a book on the work of Bernard Malamud entitled The Heart's Essential Landscape and critical articles in journals such as Studies in American Fiction, Mississippi Quarterly, Shaw: The George Bernard Shaw Annual, and The International Journal of the Book.
Ochshorn is a member of The American Conference for Irish Studies, The International Shaw Society, The Association of Writers and Writing Programs, The Academy of American Poets and the American Association of University Professors.
Honors and Awards: The Louise Loy Hunter Award for Outstanding Faculty Member at The University of Tampa (2010-2011)University of Tampa Award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Life (2000-2001)
