Career Specialties: Jill Mosteller's research focuses on how consumers, firms and environments interact to influence marketplace outcomes. Contexts she examines include online consumer behavior: factors that support or thwart consumers' online marketplace engagement; consumers in relation to pets: identity transformations, well-being and consumption outcomes; triadic marketplace exchanges - online and offline: reviewers, consumers and online retailers; and pet-owners, vets and pets.
Professional and Community Activities:
Recent peer-reviewed publications include, “Online Reviewer Engagement; A Typology of Review Motivation” in the Journal of Service Research and “To Share and Protect? Using Regulatory Focus Theory to Examine the Privacy Paradox of Consumers Social Media Engagement and Online Privacy Protection Behaviors,” in the Journal of Interactive Marketing.
Recent community work includes conducting a take rate study using conjoint analysis for the city of Loveland, CO, to determine economic viability of the municipality offering gigabit internet service to the community.
