Career Specialties
Beth Eschenfelder has a long history working in some of the most challenging fields of nonprofit management and public relations, including homelessness, substance abuse and mental health, and HIV/AIDS. She recently worked in an appointed position with the City of St. Petersburg, where part of her duties involved community planning and coordination of strategies to address homelessness.
Professional and Community Activities
Eschenfelder’s scholarship focuses on communication within interorganizational relationships between and among nonprofits, government and community (businesses, neighborhoods and citizen groups). She has served in various leadership positions that involved bringing diverse publics together to address pressing community problems, including business district redevelopment, neighborhood-nonprofit zoning issues, park revitalization and homelessness.
She previously served as the president of the Florida Coalition for the Homeless and the Pinellas County Coalition for the Homeless and as a commissioner for the St. Petersburg Housing Authority. She continues her strong commitment to charitable service through extensive volunteerism and leadership.
