Career Specialties
Catchings is excited about the potential opportunity to work with others who are committed to health equity, professional service and advancing the well-being of our communities. She is equally passionate about improving access to health care in the region and beyond. Health sciences and education directly align with her previous and future career initiatives.
Professional and Community Activities
While in PA school at Emory University, Catchings served as the Good Samaritan Clinic Coordinator in Atlanta, GA. Good Samaritan Clinic is a primary care clinic in an underserved area of Atlanta that, at the time, provided comprehensive medical care to individuals who could not afford access to quality health care. This was made possible through PA and medical school student volunteers of which she worked diligently to coordinate. This notably became one of the most rewarding experiences of her PA school career. She is excited about the opportunity of potentially becoming a part of similar initiatives to those as The Good Samaritan Clinic as she works alongside her students in service, preparing well-rounded health professionals.
