Ryne Burds is a higher education professional committed to helping students succeed and is dedicated to being a lifelong student affairs educator. He is trained in leadership development, crisis management, event planning, and fraternity and sorority-specific needs.
Outside of UT, Burds is an active member of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) and the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV), serving on the awards and assessment team. He also serves as a member of the Panhellenic Programming Committee for the Southeastern Greek Leadership Association (SGLA). He also facilitates leadership retreats for undergraduate students at other institutions and institutes across the country.
At UT, he is a member of the Coalition for Enhanced Drug and Alcohol Resources and Study (CEDARS), the Student Affairs Strategic Planning and Assessment Team, the JED Foundation Campus Team and is a member of the Student Conduct Administrative Board. Burds has previously served on the Week of Welcome (WOW!) Steering Committee and the UT Activities Committee.
