Flourishing Tampa Bay Area media industries provide students with opportunities for professional involvement in advertising, public relations, film production and other communication fields. Students participate and learn through organizations, internships, guest speakers and employment opportunities after internships.
Computer Lab Resources
Waterfront multimedia labs with 100 computer workstations provide students with the complete Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid Media Composer and ProTools, Apple Final Cut Pro and Logic, 3D modelling and animation programs such as Maya, and many other multimedia programs.
The University of Tampa hosts the WUTZ radio station, as well as WUTT, the student television station. Studio television and radio broadcast practicum courses provide students with hands-on experience in broadcast media.
Students have access to a broad array of 1080 and 4k HD video cameras, audio and lighting, and grip equipment to implement within their productions.
