Dear Spartan,

Why did you decide to attend The University of Tampa? Was it to get an education so you could advance further in your life professionally, or maybe you wanted to deepen your knowledge on a certain subject?

Most likely you are attending The University of Tampa because you wanted to better yourself in some way. The lessons you learn in the classroom will certainly help you achieve that goal, however, at The University of Tampa, we are dedicated to ensuring that our students are advancing themselves beyond the classroom. We are dedicated to setting you up for greater success both as a student and a member of the community here and beyond.

In an effort to further advance our students beyond the classroom, The University of Tampa has partnered with Vector Solutions, whose mission is to help students address critical life skills such as alcohol abuse prevention, sexual assault prevention, and prescription drug abuse prevention in higher education institutions across the country.

The University of Tampa expects all new undergraduate students to complete AlcoholEDu, Haven (sexual assault prevention), and the Prescription Drug online courses. New students over the age of 26 will be expected to complete Haven+. Each course has two parts, the second is a short follow-up after 30 days. Each course takes approximately one hour to complete; however, you can stop and go back to where you left off and do not have to complete it in one sitting.

This online course will help you develop the critical skills to make more thoughtful and educated choices outside the classroom. Our hope is that with these skills you will find greater success both here at The University of Tampa and well beyond graduation.

Welcome to The University of Tampa!
