Hours of Operation
Academic Year
During the academic year, the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values is open from 8 a.m. through midnight.
The Main Hall of the building will be open for meditation and prayer seven days a week from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. If a musical rehearsal is occurring during this time frame, the space is still open for prayer and is expected to be a shared space.
The Traditional Meditation Room (109) is a non-reservable space that is open to members of the University community practicing prayer and meditation during the building hours of operation.
The Contemporary Meditation Room (115) is a reservable space designed for individual prayer, small group meditation or walking labyrinth meditations for up to 15 people. When the room is not reserved, it is open to the University community for prayer and meditation.

Adjusted Hours and University Closures
During the summer, the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values will have limited hours. The building will be open regularly from 8 a.m. through 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
The Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values may have limited hours during academic breaks or special events such as spring break and Gasparilla. When the institution is open, but classes are not in session (specifically Labor Day, Martin Luther King, Memorial Day and July 4th), the building will be open according to normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values is closed during University holidays/closing. Specifically, this includes Thanksgiving break and winter break.
Holy Day Hours
Hours may fluctuate to accommodate prayer schedules for various Holy Days throughout the year.
During Ramadan, the building will be open at 6 a.m. before sunrise. Prayer mats are provided by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission and will be made available in room 109.
