UT’s Voice Performance Workshop to Present Opera in the Movies Nov. 29

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, join The University of Tampa’s Voice Performance Workshop for a night of Opera in the Movies. The event, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values, is free and open to the public.

The program for the concert includes beautiful opera arias featured in film — including Flower Duet from the soundtrack of Shawshank Redemption, Barcarolle and Song to the Moon from Driving Miss Daisy, and Habanera from Life is Beautiful — all performed by UT student singers.

“Come to enjoy the beauty of these vocal master pieces,” said Hein Jung, associate professor of voice and director of vocal studies at UT.

Voice Performance Workshop is a small auditioned ensemble of mixed voice that performs classical vocal repertoire, including operas, concertos, arias, oratorios and art songs.
