Sarasota Film Festival to Screen UT Professor's Documentary

A documentary on drug and alcohol recovery produced by University of Tampa assistant professor of communication Tom Garrett and New York Times bestselling author Leslie Glass will be screened as part of the Sarasota Film Festival on Sunday, April 10, at 12:45 p.m. in the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.

“The Secret World of Recovery,” is a feature-length documentary about a mother and daughter’s journey across the country searching for recovery. The film takes audiences inside high-end rehab facilities and a prison program and profiles those in recovery who are leading productive, rewarding lives.
