Career Specialties: Sarah Iker works on ways to coordinate music analysis with musical experiences, using strategies drawn from musicology, music theory and psychology/cognitive science to understand how historical listeners experienced Stravinsky’s neoclassicism and to explore how music ensembles perform in sync with one another.
Professional and Community Activities: Iker's recent work on experience-oriented analysis in Stravinsky has been presented at the New England Conference of Music Theorists and the Music Theory Midwest conference.
