Career Specialties: Kristen Foltz specializes in public speaking, to include business communication, professional presentations and organizational culture. As an attorney and mediator, she is also interested in freedom of speech and other legal issues that may impact speech.
Professional and Community Activities: Foltz began her legal career as a litigator prior to becoming a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in 2011. She is an active public speaker frequently presenting on mediation ethics, diversity and more specialized topics such as the foreclosure crisis in the Tampa Bay area. She first joined The University of Tampa as an adjunct professor in 2010 where she taught oral communication and speech for business and the professions. Foltz is an active member of the Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the National Communications Association. She has participated in a number of community activities and recently served as a faculty advisor for The University of Tampa's PEACE international alternative break.
