Noted Novelist to Give Reading at UT

Novelist Kathleen Cambor will appear for a reading at UT’s Scarfone Gallery on Tuesday, March 16, at 8 p.m. She is the second of five noted writers scheduled to appear this spring in the annual Writers at the University series, sponsored by the English and Writing Department at The University of Tampa. All events are open to the public free of charge.
 

Cambor is the author of In Sunlight, In a Beautiful Garden and The Book of Mercy, which was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Prize, and which was awarded the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize for Excellence in Fiction by an American Woman.  

 

A 2001 Guggenheim Fellow, Cambor is the former director of the Creative Program at the University of Houston. Her third novel, set in 18th-century Peru, is slated for publication in 2005.
