Spartan Challenge 5K

The Spartan Challenge is hosted by the University's Tampa Bay Alumni Chapter and cross country team. If you enjoy running or just want to challenge yourself physically, this race is for you. It will include completing a distance of 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles, as well as running through tires, jumping over hay bales and crawling through cargo nets all against the backdrop of the beautiful and historic campus. It is going to be a great day with runners from the community, UT students, family members, faculty, staff, alumni and anyone else that would like to participate. Proceeds support UT cross country scholarships. Don’t miss this fun day for a worthy cause!
Registration and packet pick-up
- Register on Race Roster
- Onsite race day registration and race packet pick-up begins at 7 a.m.
- $25 – Pre-registration until Oct. 4
- $30 – Regular registration until Oct. 17
- $35 – Race day registration on Oct. 19
- $5 discount for students, ROTC, active duty military, UT alumni, faculty and staff
- $15 – Kids Challenge (under 12)

Medals awarded to first, second and third place age group winners for 13 and under, followed by standard age groups in five year increments up to 70 and over.

Directions to Pepin Stadium
From Kennedy Boulevard (SR-60), turn north onto North Boulevard, travel three blocks and Pepin Stadium is on the right. From I-275, exit at Ashley Street Downtown West. You are now on Ashley Street. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Tyler Street. Tyler merges into Cass Street as you pass the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and cross the Cass Street Bridge. Turn left at the next intersection on North Boulevard. Pepin Stadium is down the block on your left.
Parking is available at the West Parking Garage off of North Boulevard across from the stadium.
