Career Specialties

Raymond Papp specializes in the strategic use of information technology. His book Strategic Information Technology: Opportunities for Competitive Advantage investigates the alignment between business and IT strategy and infrastructure, and the use of information systems for competitive advantage.

He also conducts pedagogical research on distributed learning technologies, information systems ethics and the use of IT in the classroom. His research has appeared in numerous scholarly journals, and he has presented at national and international information systems conferences.

Professional and Community Activities:

Papp is editor of the Journal of Instructional Pedagogies, associate editor of the Journal of Informatics Education Research and the International Journal of Enterprise Information Systems. He is also an American Red Cross volunteer instructor and teaches CPR and First Aid.

In 2010, he became a Program Evaluator for the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc.
