Office for Operations and Planning

Excellent universities have well-defined missions, high quality faculty and staff, a focused vision and a strategic view of the future. UT is no exception to this fact, having a strong institution-wide planning process.

The Office for Operations and Planning (O&P), in conjunction with the Office of the President, coordinates all institutional planning processes, as well as the University-wide Planning and Budgeting Committee. This committee is comprised of the University's senior staff, college deans and faculty leadership. The committee works in conjunction with the University Board of Trustees' Planning Committee to analyze institutional and market data, monitor progress and chart the University's future course.

Student Success

The University of Tampa provides the highest quality educational experiences, and the success of our students in an academically challenging and stimulating environment is the highest priority. The Office for Operations and Planning (O&P) coordinates all activities related to the success of our students, and, in particular, student retention.

Retention is a term that is used to describe the persistence level of students in a particular segment of the population at colleges and universities. The Retention Task Force (RTF) leads retention efforts. The RTF consists of staff and faculty members who meet regularly to analyze data related to student persistence, to plan and to execute new initiatives believed to promote excellence in teaching and learning, and to identify areas for improvement throughout the University.
