Information for transfer students starting in the spring.
Congratulations, Spartans, and welcome to your new home at The University of Tampa!
Whether you are transferring from a local community college, an in-state four-year institution or an out-of-state four-year institution, we are excited for you to begin your journey as a UT Spartan! We know that you have prior college experience, and UT has designed your orientation program to meet your needs and help you be successful during your transition to your new campus.
Our orientation program is also designed to help assist family members in participating and understanding their students' experience during this exciting time. For more information regarding Family Orientation, visit the Family Orientation website.
The schedule at a glance for the Spring Transfer orientation program will be available on Dec. 1.
During your orientation program, all transfer students will receive detailed information about the University's academic policies and the many services available on campus. Students are also strongly encouraged to review academic policies and procedures, as well as specific degree program requirements in the University Catalog. Transfer students are also strongly encouraged to participate in additional orientation programs starting Thursday, Jan. 12, following move in, through Friday evening, Jan. 13.
In addition to the new transfer student orientation program, transfer students on F1 visas will arrive for a special orientation prior to the regular new student orientation program. This also applies to new graduate international students within the Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies.
All new residential students are required to check in from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Vaughn Center Information Desk. Commuter and late orientation check-in is Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Vaughn Center information desk.
Throughout the day on Thursday, Jan. 12, and Friday, Jan. 13, students are encouraged to complete all check-in-related tasks as outlined on their check-in envelopes. There will be a transfer program occurring on Friday, Jan. 13, all transfer students are expected to attend.
