Congratulations, Spartans, and welcome to your new home at The University of Tampa!

Whether you are transferring from a local community college, an in-state four-year institution or an out-of-state four-year institution, we are excited for you to begin your journey as a UT Spartan! We know that you have prior college experience, and UT has designed your orientation program to meet your needs and help you be successful during your transition to your new campus.

The schedule at a glance for the Spring Transfer orientation program is now available.

Schedule Summary

During your orientation program, all transfer students will receive detailed information about the University's academic policies and the many services available on campus. Students are also strongly encouraged to review academic policies and procedures, as well as specific degree program requirements in the University Catalog. Transfer students are also strongly encouraged to participate in additional orientation programs starting Thursday, Jan. 12, following move in, through Friday evening, Jan. 13.

In addition to the new transfer student orientation program, transfer students on F1 visas will arrive for a special orientation prior to the regular new student orientation program. This also applies to new graduate international students within the Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies.

All new residential students are required to check in from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Vaughn Center Information Desk. Commuter and late orientation check-in is Friday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Vaughn Center information desk.

Throughout the day on Thursday, Jan. 12, and Friday, Jan. 13, students are encouraged to complete all check-in-related tasks as outlined on their check-in envelopes. There will be a transfer program occurring on Friday, Jan. 13,
all transfer students are expected to attend.

Fall 2017 (August)

Information for transfer students starting in the fall.

The transfer orientation program is designed to help you learn your way around campus, discover ways to get involved in student life, meet faculty and staff, and make new friends.

Schedule

The Fall 2017 orientation program will be from August 24 - 27, 2017. The Fall 2017 Transfer Orientation schedule at a glance will be available in Summer 2017.

Schedule Summary

Transfer students will be required to attend the transfer orientation program. This program provides essential information about academic and co-curricular topics and allows students to meet key University faculty and staff.
