The University of Tampa community is pleased to present Family Orientation to our class of 2020 parents, family and guardians.
While your students attend their first day of orientation, you are encouraged to attend Family Orientation. This optional program will introduce you to the University's resources and tools to help your student successfully transition to UT.
Parents, family and guardians can elect to register for this optional Family Orientation program, which will be held on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016. There is a $90 fee per person to attend this program.

All residence halls open Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, for our residential first-year and transfer students. Commuter first-year and transfer students will need to check in for orientation in the Grand Salon located in Plant Hall. Upon your student checking into orientation, parents, family members and guardians who sign up for the program by Aug. 1, 2016, will also receive their name tag(s) included in your student's orientation check-in envelope.
Please note that if you are a parent, family member or guardian of an international student (studying on a visa), international students should arrive on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, for a special International Student Orientation program. International students are also expected to attend all new student orientation activities beginning Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, through Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016.
Parents, family members or guardians are free to help their students settle into their residence hall rooms on Thursday, Aug. 25, prior to their floor meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. In addition to settling into their residence hall rooms, you and your student may elect to tour the campus, visit our historical Plant Hall Museum or take a legacy photograph.
Lunch and dinner located in Ultimate Dining on Thursday, Aug. 25, are included in the fee for families which have registered for the Family Orientation program.
The Family Orientation program will take place on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016. This is an optional program which is included for those who have registered to participate in Family Orientation. The Family Orientation program will take place at the Hilton Tampa Downtown. During the Friday program, parents, family members and guardians are invited to meet key administrative staff and attend presentations on Student Services, Residence Life, First Year Learning Experience, Career Services, Student Success Center and Student Health and Counseling. A continental breakfast and closing lunch banquet will be provided as a part of the Family Orientation registration fee. There will be limited on-site registration available that day. The Family Orientation program concludes immediately following the luncheon on Friday, Aug. 26.
