The University of Tampa community is pleased to present Family Orientation to our Class of 2021 parents, family and guardians.
While your students attend their first day of orientation, you are encouraged to attend Family Orientation. This optional program will introduce you to the University’s resources and tools to help your student successfully transition to UT.
Parents, family and guardians can elect to register for this optional Family Orientation program which will be held on Friday, Aug. 25. There is a $90 fee per person to attend this program. Registration for Family Orientation will be available starting Thursday, June 1, 2017.
The Family Orientation schedule-at-a-glance will be available in early June.
All residence halls open Thursday, Aug 24, for our residential first-year and transfer students. Commuter first-year and transfer students will need to check in for orientation in the Grand Salon, located in Plant Hall. Upon your student checking into orientation, parents, family members and guardians who sign up for this program prior to the deadline will also receive their name tag(s) included in your student's orientation check-in envelope.
Please note that if you are a parent, family member or guardian of an international student (studying on a visa), international students should arrive on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, for a special International Student Orientation program. International students also are expected to attend all new student orientation activities Thursday, Aug. 24, through Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017.
Parents, family members and guardians are free to help students settle into their residence hall rooms on Thursday, Aug. 24,prior to their floor meeting which will take place at 7 p.m. In addition to settling into their residence hall rooms, you and your students may elect to tour the campus, visit our historical Plant Hall Museum or take a legacy photograph.
Lunch and dinner in Ultimate Dining on Thursday, Aug. 24, are included in the fee for families who have registered for the Family Orientation program.
