UT New Student Day at Clearwater Beach

The beach trip is limited to a total of 100 students. The deadline for registration is July 24, 2013. Request for refund will not be granted after July 24. After July 24 or if the beach trip is filled, the trip will close. Students are welcome to sign up for the waitlist by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, student ID number and “Orientation Beach Trip Waitlist” in the subject line. Your placement on the waitlist is first come, first served.
The cost for this beach trip is $20, which covers transportation, recreation activities and two bottles of water. There are many places to eat on your own or with a group of friends. This is an excellent opportunity to meet new students, have fun and get some sun. Remember to bring your sunscreen, beach towel and shades!
As with all orientation events, the beach trip is an alcohol and other drug-free event.
Students, who have registered and paid for the event, are to meet at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday in Delo Park to board buses for Clearwater Beach. Be sure to bring your UT student ID card. Departure will occur at both 2 p.m. and 3p.m., and those leaving should meet where they were dropped off at the beach.
In January 2013, Clearwater Beach was awarded the designation of Florida's Best Beach Town by a reader poll from USA Today readers, beating out nine other Florida beach destinations entered in the poll.
