The University of Tampa will present its popular Spring Dance Concert on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 19–21, at 8 p.m., with an additional Saturday matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Feb. 21. All performances will be held in UT’s Falk Theatre on Kennedy Boulevard opposite campus.

Rebecca White, professor of entrepreneurship, James W. Walter Distinguished Chair of Entrepreneurship and director of the Entrepreneurship Center at The University of Tampa, was selected by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) to be a Justin G. Longenecker Fellow. The award was announced during USASBE’s annual conference in January, which was held in Tampa and co-hosted by UT.

Hear from today’s business experts and connect with tomorrow’s bright stars at the 2015 Leadership Summit, presented by The University of Tampa TECO Energy Center for Leadership. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd.

On Thursday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m. The University of Tampa’s honor symposia series will continue with a presentation by Simon Schuler, assistant professor of physics, on The Origins of Extrasolar Planets. The lecture will be held in Reeves Theater in the Vaughn Center, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd., and is free and open to the public.

The 2014 national championship University of Tampa volleyball team received a commendation from the Tampa City Council on Thursday morning with the presentation of the program's honors.

Head coach Chris Catanach was also presented with a plaque noting the commendation, with council members Charlie Miranda and Mike Suarez taking time to praise The University of Tampa athletic program.
