Staczar has been chair of the Department of Speech, Theatre and Dance, as well as an actor, director and choreographer. He directs many of UT's student productions. Professional and Community Activities:
Staczar directed The Dressing Room, by Tampa playwright Susan Hussey, at the Judith Anderson Theater in New York. Also in New York, he appeared in a musical retrospective of the life and music of Burton Lane called Mighty Fine Music. He is an accomplished figure skater at the Adult Gold level of the U.S. Figure Skating Association.
