Jeff Parker is the author of the novel Ovenman and the story collection The Taste of Penny. His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in American Short Fiction, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, Ploughshares, Tin House and many other publications. Igor in Crisis: A Russia Journal, his nonfiction book about Russia, is forthcoming in summer 2014. He co-edited the anthologies Rasskazy: New Fiction from a New Russia and Amerika: Russian Writers View the United States, and he co-translated the novel Sankya by Zakhar Prilepin, which is also forthcoming in 2014. He teaches in the MFA program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and he is the founding director of the DISQUIET International Literary Program in Lisbon, Portugal.
