Ben Lerner

lerner_picture1Ben Lerner is the author of three books of poetry, all published by Copper Canyon Press: The Lichtenberg Figures (2004), Angle of Yaw (2006) and Mean Free Path (2010). He has been a National Book Award Finalist, a Fulbright Scholar in Spain and a Howard Foundation Fellow. In 2011 he became the first American to win the Preis der Stadt Münster für Internationale Poesie. His novel, Leaving the Atocha Station, was published by Coffee House Press in 2011. It won The Believer Book Award and was named one of the best books of the year by The New Yorker, The Boston Globe, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, and New York Magazine, among other publications. He lives and teaches in Brooklyn.
