MBA Concentrations

The MBA concentrations allow you to deepen your business knowledge of specific topics by taking 12 credits in any of seven different areas. Students electing not to declare an MBA concentration take four elective credit hours. This general business degree allows you to customize your education by choosing electives across any discipline.

Students in the  Executive MBA Program enter as a cohort class with a shared course schedule and receive a general degree (no concentrations are available). Executive MBA students who want to pursue a concentration may take an additional 12 credit hours upon completion of the EMBA program.

Entrepreneurship prepares students for the intricacies of planning, launching and leading a business. Students in the concentration compete in a business plan competition and have the opportunity to interact with local entrepreneurs.

Finance prepares managers for successful interaction in either the managerial or investment function. Several courses have integrated the CFA® curriculum as provided by CFA Institute® and are based on the CFA® Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK®).

Information Systems Management teaches the knowledge and tools required for integrating people, hardware, software and data for optimal planning, decision-making and problem-solving.

Innovation Management prepares students to compete successfully through technology and innovation and how to apply theories, frameworks and methods assessing the innovative capacity of an organization.

International Business provides a broad-based business background and develops an understanding for the strategic, operational and behavioral aspects of managing across cultures.

Marketing
provides students with a broad-based education in what it means for an organization to be truly market-driven and create value for its customers.

Nonprofit Management addresses topics for nonprofit organizations including strategy, finance, marketing and leadership.
