Career Specialties:

Linda Webb specializes in information systems and statistics. She is particularly interested in the use of software and information technology to enhance learning in the classroom.

Professional and Community Activities:

Webb has previously taught courses in information systems and marketing at Texas Tech University, the University of South Florida, Troy University and Wayland Baptist University. She is also an experienced software trainer. Webb has published journal articles and conference papers in the areas of electronic commerce and the use of information technology to enhance learning. She is also the co-author of a text and software on information systems fundamentals.

Besides being proficient with many business software products, she is a SAP certified Business Associate with SAP ERP 6.0 and is also certified to administer the HEC Montreal ERP Simulation Game using SAP enterprise software. Webb previously served as a director of communications for a nonprofit organization. She was responsible for internal and external publications using both print and electronic media. She also managed information technology service delivery and infrastructure including requirements determination, redesign of business processes, procurement, delivery, installation and user training. A redesign of the organization’s website was accomplished to enhance communications capabilities with the key stakeholders. Webb has volunteered her time at numerous nonprofit organizations. She has worked as a volunteer, volunteer trainer, volunteer coordinator and information technology consultant. She is currently active with a local technology group and manages its website and is active with the GETSMART (Getting Everyone To Study Math And Related Technologies) group for middle and high school aged girls.
