UT offers generous scholarships and grants based on academic achievement, talent and financial need. The following programs are available to new undergraduates only. Scholarships are renewable annually and require a minimum GPA be maintained. See

Although most aid programs are available only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents, UT does offer partial scholarships to academically exceptional international students.

Presidential ScholarshipAward amount: Up to $11,000 per year

Dean’s ScholarshipAward amount: Up to $9,000 per year
Eligibility:

- Average unweighted GPA 3.5, average SAT 1135 (ACT 25)*
Minaret ScholarshipAward amount: Up to $7,000 per year
Eligibility:

Spartan ScholarshipAward amount: Up to $4,000 per year

* Eligibility based on a sliding scale combining GPA and scores. Unweighted GPA is the average of class grades based on a 4.0 scale as calculated by UT.

International Baccalaureate ScholarshipAward amount: $1,000 per year
Eligibility:

Transfer ScholarshipAward amount: Up to $6,000 per year

- College transfer applicants planning to enroll at UT full-time
- 3.0 or higher cumulative college GPA
Phi Theta Kappa ScholarshipAward amount: $1,000 per year
