Strike the perfect balance with
UT Summer Abroad, a great opportunity for students who would like to spend a significant time abroad, but who are not able to devote a regular semester or year to the process. Summer Abroad grants students the opportunity to earn UT credit while spending six to eight weeks abroad during the summer.

Danielle Houston. Student walk-in hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m in Plant Hall 304 and 306. All other times are by appointment only.
How to apply
The application deadline for UT Summer Abroad programs has been extended to Feb. 15. The Office of International Programs may consider applications received after this date on a case-by-case basis. Students must first apply online through the
Spartans Abroad Program Portal. Please note that instructor permission is required for Summer Abroad courses.

- Dec. 15, 2011: Last day to apply (online application and $500 deposit)
- Dec. 1, 2011: Last day for $500 deposit refund
- Feb. 2, 2012: Education Abroad Fair
- Feb. 15, 2012: Extended Deadline

UT Summer Abroad Offerings: Summer 2012
These courses take place during summer semester. Some courses may have an on-campus component in the spring or summer while others are conducted entirely on-site at the travel destination. *All prices and dates are subject to change.
Destination: Seville, Spain
For students who have completed SPA 202 or demonstrate equivalent language skills.
Students earn academic credits while studying Spanish language, culture and literature in Seville, Spain, at the Centro Internacional de Estudios Culturales. Classes are taught by professors from the University of Sevilla, and students are housed with Spanish families. Program highlights include a two-day excursion to Granada and site visits to Italica and Cordoba.
