Dublin, Ireland

UT students live among local and international students...

University College Dublin

This dynamic, modern university is located on a thriving suburban campus in Dublin. UT students live among local and international students in on-campus residence halls. A broad range of courses are offered, including those in life and physical sciences, humanities, social sciences and business. The university’s Quinn School of Business is AACSB accredited. Courses are also available for students studying health sciences and human performance.

UT students are provided with a public transportation pass to aid in their exploration of Dublin, an international center of commerce and culture. Students’ experience is enriched through a variety of organized activities, including guest lectures, Irish music and dance workshops, and trips to local museums and cathedrals.

The program also provides special excursions designed to deepen students’ understanding of Irish history and culture. These include the following:

  • Cork and Blarney Castle (one night)
  • Galway, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher (one night)
  • Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains
  • Kilkenny

Sevilla, Spain

Located in Sevilla, capital of Andalusia and the birthplace of Flamenco...

Universidad Pablo de Olavide

Located in Sevilla, capital of Andalusia and the birthplace of Flamenco, the Universidad Pablo de Olavide is one of Spain’s newest and most progressive centers for higher education. Courses are widely available in Spanish and English, and students may take classes in Spanish language acquisition, as well as humanities, social sciences, business and varying disciplines in science. Students who have not completed a college semester of Spanish must choose language as one of their courses; advanced Spanish speakers may take classes with locals.

UT students have the unique opportunity to stay with host families, immersing themselves in the Spanish language and lifestyle. They can also choose to stay in a furnished, centrally located apartment. With easy access to metro, bus and tram lines, students are encouraged to explore Sevilla’s rich architecture and neighborhoods, which blend Christian, Moorish and Jewish traditions.

Students gain further exposure to Spanish, Portuguese and Moroccan history and culture through special excursions to the following:

  • Córdoba/Granada (two nights)
  • Málaga
  • Toledo (one night)
  • Lisbon (two nights)
  • Morocco (five nights)
