Career Specialties
Willie Leung specializes in examining the usage of various intervention methods, including wearable technology, to promote physical activity among individuals with and without disabilities through the use of multiple research approaches (e.g., primary data analysis, secondary data analysis, meta-analysis and systematic review).
Professional and Community Activities
Leung's long-term research goal is to promote physical activity for all individuals with and without disabilities. Leung's primary research focuses on the promotion of physical activity among individuals with disabilities. This project also included exploring the physical activity levels of individuals who self-quantified their physical activity levels. Leung also has collaborated with other scholars at other universities on various topics such as fitness and motor abilities of children, program evaluation of community services programs for children and young adults with disabilities, the effect of sport specialization on health outcomes among high school athletes, effects of concussion on health outcomes and translation of standardized testing into Chinese.
