The Third Annual Self Employment in the Arts Conference will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2009.
"Artists Surviving and Thriving Together" will serve as the rallying cry of this regional conference open to all artists. Successful artists in the fields of film, literary, performing and visual arts will present practical and inspirational strategies to aspiring artists, students, and members of the arts community. This artist-led conference will provide resources for artists to become self-supporting in their careers. Plus, you’ll have a great opportunity to network with other artists and to make strong connections for the future.
What
The conference includes sessions and speakers on film, literary, performing and visual arts. Sessions will address current needs of artists in these challenging economic times. A reception and networking session will be held at the end of the conference at the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery at the University.
