Career Specialties:Grigorios Zamparas, a concert pianist, peforms both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. He is also an active clinician for piano competitions and has given master classes around the world.

Professional and Community Activities:

Zamparas is an internationally-known concert pianist who has received critical acclaim for his versatile performing career as a recitalist, orchestra soloist and chamber musician. He has performed with symphony orchestras in his native Greece and Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Russia, Latin America, and the United States. He is a frequent guest at numerous festivals worldwide, having most recently performed at the prestigious Newport Music Festival in Rhode Island and at the "Salon of the Arts" in Sofia, Bulgaria. Since 1993, he has been a guest artist at the Portoheli International Summer Festival in Portoheli, Greece, where he has performed more than 200 works including compositions for solo piano, chamber music and concertos. His latest commercial recording "The Youthful Beethoven" with the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra of Czech Republic has just been released by Centaur Records (CRC 2725).
