Campus and Community Resources

On Campus

Help for Students

Assistance is available on campus for students who have substance abuse problems or who know others who have problems. The University of Tampa provides a Student Assistance Program for alcohol and other drug issues. For more information on the program, please call (813) 257-1777 or e-mail studentassistance@ut.edu.

Referrals are also available for students to services in the Tampa Bay area that provide help to those with drug and alcohol problems, as well as support groups for family and friends, and lists of local A.A. and N.A. meetings.

Help For Faculty and Staff

The University provides an Employee Assistance Program for faculty and staff through the Office of Human Resources.

The University of Tampa Coalition for Enhanced Drug and Alcohol Resources and Study (CEDARS)

CEDARS is a campus/community coalition dedicated to helping students make responsible life choices. This is achieved by building collaborative partnerships with students, faculty, staff, and community colleagues to lead our community toward change. The overall goal of the coalition is to develop a campus culture that encourages student health and low risk behaviors around alcohol and other drug use.
CEDARS meets on the first Tuesday of each month during the academic school year at 4 p.m. in Vaughn Center, Room 219.
