Career Specialties: Carol Botwinksi's teaching interests include maternal-infant nursing, pathophysiology, clinical outcomes and nursing education. In 2010 and 2011, she received the Excellence in Teaching Award from The University of Tampa's College of Natural and Health Sciences.
Professional and Community Activities: Botwinski's research interests lie in end-of-life competencies and learning needs of nurse practitioners; clinical outcomes of neonatal nurse practitioners; and nursing preceptor development. She is recognized as a national speaker on a number of neonatal nursing topics. She is past-president of the Florida Association of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (FANNP). Botwinski holds certification as a NNP and continues to maintain a clinical practice.
