Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Career Services is to provide information, in both a high-touch and high-tech format, that will aid students and alumni in the successful transition from academia to the world of work. The aim is to foster students’ career development and to empower them for life-long career management through planning and job search activities that expand their knowledge of the marketplace and provide them with access to employers.
Career Services works to:
- Foster and guide students’ early involvement in their career planning and development;
- Encourage experiential learning through volunteer, internship, leadership, and international opportunities;
- Teach students the skills necessary to make an effective transition to the world of work;
- Empower students and alumni by providing the resources and teaching the skills necessary to build their knowledge and confidence to take personal responsibility for managing their careers for a lifetime; Develop and maintain long-term relations with employers and provide opportunities for meaningful networking with students and alumni.
