Note: The only Fall 2014 employment opportunity currently available is the member services assistant. All other positions have been filled.
Campus Recreation depends on UT students to assist with many of the programs and services offered. Although students are employed throughout the day, most student work is during the late afternoon and evening hours.
After applying and interviewing with the appropriate staff members, students go through an in-service training and orientation program. Schedules are based on availability. An employment application, cover letter and resume are required for your application to be considered.
The Office of Campus Recreation receives many applications and not all will receive a response. Applications should be turned into the McNiff Fitness Center front desk.
Students may serve as:
*Certification typically required. Some experience is preferred but not required. Students who are hired as trainers or instructors are asked to also serve one shift per week as fitness staff to promote their services and learn the operations of the facility. Trainers are encouraged to teach group fitness classes.
