Looking for the benefits of working with a personal trainer, but can’t seem to afford it? Spartan Strong is the perfect, affordable option. For less than $4 per session, nationally certified trainers provide participants with guidance and expertise. Small group training offers opportunities to meet new people who will support and motivate each other to achieve their fitness goals. To maximize results, each group will meet twice per week for four weeks. Training sessions are limited and open to students, faculty and staff, so sign up early to reserve a spot.

Not Another Group Fitness Class

Different than a once weekly drop-in group fitness class, Spartan Strong requires dedication. The group size maximum is eight people, providing more individualized attention from the trainer. The friends made in the program will help you stay accountable to the workouts, whereas, in group fitness, you may come and go as you please. Or, you and your closest friends can sign-up together and it will be just you and your trainer. Lastly, the workouts will progress as you become more cardiovascularly fit, stronger and leaner.

How to Get Spartan Strong

Sessions are offered at the start of the fall and spring semesters. There is a minimum requirement of four participants per group, so invite your friends to join you on your journey to a healthier you. All sessions/packages are non-refundable except in cases of health issues with doctor's note prohibiting physical activity. There are typically two sessions to choose from, or, with six friends, you can request your own session by emailing the student coordinator of fitness, samantha.gaebel@spartans.ut.edu.

Registration:Sign up for Spartan Strong at the fitness center front desk. Cost is $30 in cash or check made out to The University of Tampa.
