An Introduction to Honors and Inquiry

First-year Honors students take Pathways to Honors. Pathways to Honors (HON 101 and 102) is a graded course earning one-credit hour each semester for the successful completion of each course.

In Pathways to Honors, students are introduced to the Honors Program and the many opportunities that it offers. The faculty who teach Pathways to Honors will: (1) help students adjust to college and (2) introduce students to their own scholarship and research. Students will have numerous opportunities to learn about the research and scholarship that is taking place on campus by attending Honors Symposia and working directly with faculty. The goal of Pathways to Honors is to engage students in a life of the mind, setting them on a path of inquiry.
