Dr. Price specializes in marine invertebrate biology with emphases on crustacean ecology and systematics.Professional and Community Activities:
Dr. Price has worked extensively with the ecologically important
Mysidacea -- small, shrimp-like crustaceans that are an important food
source for many juvenile fishes. He is an expert on crustacean
biodiversity in near-shore waters and has published research on
near-shore environments throughout the Western Atlantic.
He has worked with students on projects investigating
semiterrestrial crabs in Tampa Bay, crustacean parasites of fish in the
Florida Keys, crab symbionts of sea squirts, and parasites of invasive
