Vivaldi Focus of Oct. 14 Faculty Chamber Music Concert at UT

Music by Italian Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi will be the focus of a faculty chamber music concert at The University of Tampa on Monday, Oct. 14. The concert is free and open to the public and will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values.

Performers include UT music faculty members Lei Lu, violin; Lowell Adams, cello; Dee Moses, double bass; Charles Dugan, tenor; Hein Jung, soprano; and Grigorios Zamparas, piano. The concert will also feature student performers from the State College of Florida along with UT vocalists and organists and the UT Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Kira Omelchenko, director of orchestral and string studies at UT.

The program will feature selections from Vivaldi’s most famous series of violin concertos, the Four Seasons, performed by Lei Liu.
