UT Wraps Up 2017-2018 Business Network Symposium Series April 24

On Tuesday, April 24, the leaders of Cox Fire Protection and Mise en Place are slated to speak at The University of Tampa for the final Business Network Symposium of the 2017-2018 academic year. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins with a continental breakfast at 7:15 a.m., followed by the program from 7:45–9 a.m. in the Vaughn Center Crescent Club.

The slate of speakers includes Linda Cox, CEO of Cox Fire Protection, and Maryann Ferenc, proprietor and CEO of Mise en Place.

Cox is CEO of Cox Fire Protection, which provides a full spectrum of life safety services. Based in Tampa, with branch offices in Ocala and Jacksonville, Cox Fire Protection was among the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s top 25 women-owned businesses in the greater Tampa Bay area in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Ferenc is proprietor and CEO of Mise en Place, which began as a catering company in 1986. Since then, Mise en Place has grown to include restaurants in downtown Tampa, the Tampa Museum of Art and the Tampa International Airport. Operations include in-house events, a full-service catering and event company, and retail marketing.

The event is hosted by The University of Tampa Board of Fellows and the presenting sponsor is TD Bank. Other sponsors include the Tampa Bay Business Journal and Sodexo Campus Services.

The Board of Fellows holds this networking event three times a year to allow businesses that are well known, changing or new to the Tampa Bay area the opportunity to share their accomplishments and plans with the business community.
