UT and UF/IFAS Extension to Present Environmental Film Series This Fall

The University of Tampa has teamed up with the University of Florida IFAS Extension Pinellas County to present Sustainability Connections, a four-part environmental film series, at UT this fall. All showings are free and open to the public, and will include light refreshments and an expert panel discussion following the film.

A full schedule is below. All showings will be held in the Vaughn Center’s Reeves Theater (200 UT Poe Parkway), and doors open at 6 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 12: A Fierce Green Fire tells the story of the environmental movement, from toxic waste at Love Canal to rubbertappers in the Amazon. Come share in the inspiring stories of people who have fought and succeeded against enormous odds. RSVP at https://fiercegreentampa.eventbrite.com.
Monday, Oct. 3: Shattered Sky tells the story of how America led the world in solving the biggest environmental crisis ever seen — the hole in the ozone layer — and explores how this issue is eerily similar to the current energy and climate crisis. RSVP at https://shatteredskytampa.eventbrite.com.
