UT Opera Workshop Presents an Opera Extravaganza Nov. 28

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, join The University of Tampa’s Opera Workshop for Opera Extravaganza! Love and Friendship. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values.

The program for the concert features selections from fan favorites, including Mozart’s Magic Flute, Puccini’s La bohème, Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Sondheim’s Into the Woods and Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, all performed by UT student singers.

“This will be an unforgettable night of vocal masterpieces with romance and fantasy!” said Hein Jung, associate professor of music, who will direct the performance.

Opera Workshop is a select, dramatic vocal ensemble that introduces students to operatic repertoire through participation in staged performances.
