UT’s Leadership Speaker Series Welcomes Steve Allen Oct. 3

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, The University of Tampa will welcome Steve Allen, CEO and founder of enterprise automation company DocuPhase, as part of the Sykes College of BusinessTECO Energy Center for LeadershipSpeaker Series. Allen’s presentation, titled The Rogue CEO, begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Trustees Board Room on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center, and is free and open to the public. 

Allen has been building DocuPhase for the last 18 years with a focus on office automation, content management and business process optimization. His guidance has produced award-winning products and business culture, with DocuPhase recognized as a “Best Place to Work” in Tampa Bay for nine years. 

Allen began his career in robotics at IBM, and has spent the majority of his career focused on automating the business process or simplifying the user experience with technology. As an engineer and entrepreneur, Allen’s early career and companies specialized in helping clients to develop new technology and products in the consumer, health care, aviation and marine markets. 

Allen also founded the Technical Arts Facility for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TAFFIE) in 2014. TAFFIE is a business incubator that promotes entrepreneurship in Clearwater and Pinellas County, FL, and supports and mentors new entrepreneurs.
