Career Specialties

Alex Tan’s areas of interest include corporate finance, governance, executive compensation and international finance.

Professional and Community Activities:

Tan recently presented his research at the annual meetings of the Eastern Finance Association (EFA), Financial Management Association (FMA), Midwest Finance Association (MFA) and Southwestern Finance Association (SWFA). He is a member of EFA, FMA, MFA, Southern Finance Association and SWFA. He is also a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Economics Honor society.

Honors and Awards

Tan received the Outstanding Doctoral Student Paper award from SWFA. While at the University of Central Florida, he received the College of Business Administration Graduate Teaching Assistant Excellence award.
