On Tuesday, April 17, The University of Tampa’s Writers at the University series will welcome three alumni authors — Christian Collier ’06, Donna Long ’91 and Jen A. Miller ’02 — who will give readings and participate in a Q-and-A. The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery on campus, 310 North Blvd., and is free and open to the public.

Collier is a 2015 Loft Spoken Word Immersion Fellow. He is an accomplished artist, public speaker and educator who has shared the stage with several members of HBO’s Def Poetry cast, among others. Collier has also given two TEDx Talks and has been featured on an episode of TNT’s State Farm Neighborhood Sessions with multi-platinum recording artist Usher Raymond.

Her poems have appeared most recently in Clockhouse, The Southern Review, Cooweescoowee and Appalachian Heritage, as well as in the anthologies The Southern Poetry Anthology, Volume III; Beloved on the Earth; and The Poets’ Guide to the Birds.
