The University of Tampa Press extends the educational mission of the University through the publication of works of scholarship, creativity and regional interest. Its publications disseminate the fruits of learning to a wide audience of serious readers both within and beyond the academic institution.

Founded in 1952 with the publication of Anna Ella Carroll and Abraham Lincoln by Sydney and Marjorie Greenbie, The University of Tampa Press has been dedicated to the publication of books and periodicals featuring poetry, fiction and non-fiction from Florida and around the globe for more than 50 years. The University launched its literary journal UT Poetry Review in 1964, which evolved into Tampa Review in 1988. It is the oldest continuously published literary journal in Florida and the nation’s only hardback literary journal.

Tampa Press was also the publisher of the award-winning academic journal Pinter Review, which was devoted to the work of Nobel laureate Harold Pinter.
