Pi Beta Phi, a national women’s fraternity, is the newest Greek organization on The University of Tampa campus.
UT announced this week that the Pi Beta Phi national office and Grand Council has decided to colonize a chapter, Florida Zeta, at UT in Fall 2013.
Pi Beta Phi, headquartered in Town & Country, MO, was founded on April 28, 1867, at Monmouth College (IL) and was one of the first of seven founding members of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). Today there are reportedly 137 chapters and more than 200,000 members worldwide. Through numerous initiatives and unique partnerships, Pi Beta Phi focuses its philanthropy, Read. Lead. Achieve., on supporting children and families in the fields of literacy and education.
