NBC Today Show to Broadcast from UT

The NBC Today Show, with anchor Lester Holt, is going to broadcast from The University of Tampa campus this Sunday, Oct. 21, from 8-9 a.m. Then, at 6:30-7 p.m., NBC's Nightly News will be broadcast from campus as well.

This event is part of NBC’s 2012 presidential election coverage. Both broadcasts will be filmed from the Plant Hall East Verandah.

The public is welcome to attend the Oct. 21 broadcasts. However, parking is limited on the UT campus.

This is the second time the Today Show has come to UT.

With the Tampa skyline as a backdrop, NBC’s Matt Lauer and Al Roker took a place in front of the Plant Hall fountain, amid the cheers of hundreds of onlookers, where they announced a live broadcast in September 2008. The morning TV news show broadcast from UT to highlight Florida’s impact on the 2008 presidential election.
