Career Specialties: MaryAnn D'Alesandro has been afforded the opportunity to work in various areas in nursing including cardio-thoracic and major vascular surgery, pre-op, PACU, management, informatics and now in academia. She holds national certifications in two areas of nursing: CNOR - Operating Room and BC – Board Certification Nursing Informatics.
Professional and Community Activities: Her area of research is in error wisdom and medication errors using the human error theory. Additional curiosity involves quantum physics and the incorporation of the mind and the power of thought processes in the promotion of healing. D’Alesandro applies nursing experience and her role as a nursing educator to complement the science and the spiritual connection to healing.
She has numerous published works in various double-blind, peer-reviewed nursing journals.
