Professional and Community Activities:
Yokota has been involved in projects that study the effects of land use on aquatic biodiversity and the impact of increased carbon dioxide and temperature as expected from global climate change on phytoplankton growth. The results of Yokota’s research have been presented at three international conferences and are being prepared for publication.

Yokota has been a member of the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography and the Phycological Society of America and a volunteer for Minnesota High School Science Bowls (Minnesota Academy of Science).
